The Genesis

Emily the Cow tested postive for Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) and had carcinomatosis throughout her abdomen. She died March 30, 2003. BLV has been found in a high percentage of cattle in the US, precisely the reason why some countries do not import cows from the U.S. BLV is transmissible from cow to cow through blood and other body fluids . The calf receives the virus through nursing.
